NICE SHIPS! Princess to have two new babies

Carnival Corporation has announced that it has ordered two new ships for its Princess Cruises brand to be built by Fincantieri shipyards. Both ships will be 141,000-tons each and carry 3,600 passengers – deliveries are slated for spring 2013 and spring 2014.




Carnival has stated that the ‘per berth’ costs will be approximately 155,000euros and the company has also said that the new ship design will keep in touch with the lines newest vessels, featuring new innovations in design and décor. There is the addition of many more balconies to the outside staterooms, bringing the balcony ration to around 80%!! The signature Piazza, a central atrium featuring fine dining, entertainment and retail outlets will be expanded to include more facilities, as will the ships onboard Sanctuary, spa and restaurants. Specifics design and amenities will be featured on here in the next few months as more details are released.


As it stands Princess are fabulous for the more unusual itinerary and have some great 4 & 5 days cruise in the far east as well as some more asia specific cruises: a few samples for April 2011 are below.
